Oh he quit alright, there is no doubting that....just a case of him saying yes to the job now. I'll be interested in his transfer dealings as he's only really bought small fry.

A few papers still have stories up that he's quit. Sky have said his reps are meeting us today. But no big news outlet has the story that he's quit.

Talksport have said he has quit,  what more confirmation do you need ?

they are like Rueters in the sporting world

Exactly, and The Sun backs them up...110% at least.

I can't really believe that until it's credibly reported.

Honest, Im not a liar :) But every paper, sports site etc says he has....you usually get half saying it and the others saying nothing if he hasnt.

The 'Lambert quits' story is added a lot of credence by the fact our managerial options have been trimmed down so much in the last week or so.

I fully believe he's spat his dummy there and will be our manager - probably announced tomorrow!

Brilliant stuff on Talksport. A norwich fan calls up, can't believe Lambert has quit for Villa. Doesn't get why Villa and not a HUGE club like Liverpool as Norwich and Villa are apparently equal in size, fan base, finance and player quality!!!! Then Mick Quinn pipes up giving it you have to be realistic but Villa are a bigger club, Im like yea that right Mick, hit him with the facts....then he gives it, "Villa average 40,000 every game and their ground holds 50,000 plus"......Hmmmmm!!

We are all one eyed when it comes to our own club, but there has been some absolute arse spoken about us in recent days. From those titans of the game Norwich and Wigan. I hope both of the fuckers sink without trace.

I think I'm right in saying that after two successive promotions Lambert guided Norwich to a higher position in the PL than Martinez managed in a few seasons at Wigan. It would seem that Martinez and/or his advisors had talks with Liverpool and Villa but he wasn't actually offered either job. Of course according to Dave Whelan he stayed because he wasn't happy with the job circumstances at Liverpool and Villa aren't big enough (yawn). Big enough for him to want to talk to us though. And when Roberto goes it will be to one the biggest clubs in Europe. Yep, think I've heard you mention that one before as well Dave.

Where do they get their presenters from. Firstly they must get a moron to present and then tell them to dumb down their opinions for the public. It's tragic.

Presumably to deny he has quit?

Or confirm he offered his resignation.
