The last three seasons?

So getting to the Carling Cup final and FA Cup semi-final didn't really make you look up from your angry rants at the chairman?

I gave mine and my sons seats up few seasons ago , due to difficulty making matches due to his county cricket , we used to spend a small fortune going in shop etc every game .we missed it massively initially , but now I don't miss it at all , my son, even though we are villa through and through also can take it or leave it .after being season ticket holder since 1990 (first wage packet spend k block holte end ) I find it difficult to get upbeat , even chairman appears to have got fed up of going villa park .

Sorry just got my years slightly wrong...... the decline started towards the end of that season. I must admit though towards the end of MON the football was getting a little dull. Although not even comparable to now....!

:) This is true, even worse when you can't actually focus on a player for fear he's about to put in the worst performance of his career, go on a goal drought, get done for drink driving, storm of and a whole plethora of other things.

Mind you there's always Gabbs....

Good choice, reliable, well intentioned, does his bit for the club in ambassadorial terms and score some great goals, why wouldn't you stick his name on a shirt, he is pretty much Aston Villa at this time, that said we'll probably flog him in Jan  ;)

Think we will see Mr Lerner attending the Man United and Liverpool games in December, unless of course he is completely disinterested.

He only comes to games he thinks we will win, so we won't be seeing him very often I reckon.

With the growth of the internet, social media etc [get me sounding like I'm au fait with modern communication methods] people can air their opinions almost immediately and at times of high emotion.  There's also the tendency to give these views more credence than they warrant. When someone sends me a snotty e-mail at work, my strategy is to wait at least an hour, if not a heck of a lot longer, before responding.

Anyway, I don't think things are good, but neither do I think the end of the world is nigh.
