Problem is we have no consistantcy, he will bring heskey back and we will go back to just hoofing it up to him. it doesn't work, we need to let Ireland build on his second half performance and Bannan should keep his place.

Have to agree with you

I think heskey when fit will always start because of his amazing ability to link up play

I don't see heskey starting tomorrow. I don't think he'll change the midfield but if he does I see Jenas as being more likely to come in than heskey, as heskey was only filling a gap AM hopes Jenas can fill.

That would make it a Heskey/Petrov/Jenas midfield then I guess.

Gabby and Bannan wide of Bent, or will he persist with N'Zogbia?

I reckon The Zog will start, I think leaving him out would be counter-productive for him getting into some kind of form.

If bent does start my guess it would be at the expense of ireland, with gabby going back out wide.

I would like to see BB feature  centrally at the spearhead of a 3 man central midfield at least then he can call the shots use his passing ability, i feel he's wasted on the wing

gabby wide one side

Albrighton wide on the other

For me having Heskey in the team gives us no balance

Same team as last week but Jenas in for Delph for me but I suspect he'll also want to bring Bent back probably instead of Ireland.

Has Jenas had any game time with the reserves?

Just read this on the BBC match preview and felt very sad: "According to Opta, Villa were the only team to play more than 20% of their passes long in the Premier League last weekend."

Bent and Jenas in for Ireland and Delph, 2-0 to Villa, Bent and N'Zogbia.

Given
Hutton Collins Dunne Warnock
Jenas Petrov
Gabby Bannan N'Zogbia
Bent

Subs Guzan Clark Cuellar Delph Ireland Albrighton Heskey

N'Zogbia is lucky to keep his place, but Albrighton is bang out of form too and bringing in Heskey, Delph or Ireland would mean pushing Bannan out wide and I'd rather see him in the middle.

'Hoof it up field' Collins and Dunnie  must have contributed massively to that.

ANd 99% of that was in the first 45 mins no doubt.   I saw a team FINALLY react and start to click in the second 45 mins.

Anyway, this is a game that we will win and win big.
