1-1. We never beat them at home unless Nii Lamptey plays.

I never thought when I watched us twat them 5-0 all those years ago that a) we'd ever play them in the league b) never beat the feckers at home when the unlikely scenario of A happened.

Bent fit, Jenas, Heskey & Clark too. I'd seriously consider leaving N'Zogbia out, I know it's against his old club & all that but he's looked absolute crap so far, looks devoid of confidence & should sit this one out imo.

We'll win though, you mark my words!

I'd shake it up a bit.

Given

Hutton
Collins
Dunne
Warnock

Jenas
Petrov
Ireland

Agbonlahor
Bent
Heskey

I think this will be the game we beat these fuckers. We're not very confident, there's a bit of negativity around the place, we'll turn it on, and AM will shut a few up.

Win.  PLEASE!

6-0.  Bent scoring all six.  Five in his next game.  Four in the next.

I really want to get Clark involved again - we need to either use him in a defensive midfield role or look to start bedding him in to be Dunne's CB partner. But to pitch him straight in at CB after a knock is perhaps too soon, and I don't think we need a defensive specialist in midfield at home to Wigan. So, I'd stick with the same back five and then go with:

                            Jenas            Delph

                                     Bannan

                     Agbonlahor    Bent        N'Zogbia

Depending on how the game pans out, I'd be looking to give Ireland 30 mins for Bannan, Clark a run for Delph for 15-20 mins, and Albrighton on for N'Zog or Gabby for about the same.

I'm hoping this is the game that inspires N'Zog. There wasn't a fat lot wrong on Sunday (second half) but we need to create more clear cut chances. Gabby does not deserve to be dropped.

Think we'll go with:

Given

Hutton Dunne Collins Warnock

Jenas   Petrov

Gabby        Bannan       N'Zogbia

Bent

Would like to see Herd at RB but think McLeish will persist with Hutton

The above team for me too, with Guzan, Heskey, Ireland, Albrighton, Delph, Clark and Cuellar on the bench.

We will win this I'm sure of it.  I only bet when I'm sure of it and I'm betting on this.

29,756 crowd

Not optimistic about the crowd for this one.  Below 28,000.

After last week, drop N'zog for Bent, otherwise keep the midfield, they did well 2nd half.
