Very good game. Villa dominated throughout. Carruthers and Gardner look especially good. I set a new record for the number of fanzines sold in an hour aswell.

Re Gardner, its difficult to describe how superior he was to anyone else on the field tonight but on the occasions I've seen him for the ressies last year, albeit against good quality opposition, he didn't look quite ready for first team action. He'll be a superstar and we should enjoy him whilst he's here because it won't be for long, whether we should chuck him in now or wait a little longer I'm not so sure about.

I hope you are wrong there.  I'm dreaming of us winning trophies and taking the world by storm with our home-grown lads.

I wondered what the new greenhouses were for at Bodymoor!

Well done to the lads and looking forward to seeing Gardner in the first team on merit soon. Only disappointment was a crowd of around 800? who attended.
