There were clear signs yesterday that we are not far off being a useful side. It's still about getting the balance right and getting the confidence up of one or two who are under performing. I have a feeling that one day soon it will all click and we will give somebody a good stuffing.

A few tweaks and a bit of muscle in the middle - yep I reckon you are right.

2nd half yesterday, there was without question real encouraging signs that the players get McLiesh, that's an important point because in spite of what people throw at players who are now outing there views about Houllier, the obvious problem was that players simply where not on the same wavelength as Houllier, in the case of McLiesh we visibly witnessed a shocking poor first 45, then witnessed a totally different side emerge from the dressing room after the team chat at half time completely rejuvenated.

So McLiesh can do that, what's important now is how we carry that forward to the next game, game after that and so on.
