Can see this being a very long and cold night. Win on penalties.

Are we still offering tickets at a special rollback price of half a crown? I might go if they have. And watch us draw on penalties.

                        Given
Hutton       Collins    Clark    Warnock
            Jenas Petrov Bannon
Albrighton                            N'Zogbia
                       Gabby

Subs: Guzan, Herd, Delph, Dunne, Bent, Ireland, Delfouneso.

I think maybe that should be the formation we use in the league. We need three in central midfield one of whom can be a playmaker, Bannan. We also need a bit more balance to the side, thought we looked imbalanced in the final third the last few games. Gabby can be very effective as the lone striker so a good performance in that role in the cup might give Darren a bit of a kick up the arse.

This for me is the biggest game of the season so far.

Its a must win, no question, we can't and mustn't take it lightly by playing lesser players, this is the only competition we have any real chance of glory this season.

We must win it and we must field the best possible team.

I agree. Penalties. They will come to stifle us and try and score on the break, we won't be able to break them down...ever the optimist!

We simply have to get away from 442 as we dont have the personnel to play it. We do not have 2 midfielders capable of playing in a 442, we havent had for years. Id also try and implement a gameplan that emphasised holding onto possession rather than the route one wimbeldon style muck attempted yesterday. Id play a pretty strong side dependent on injuries Id go for the below.

-------------Given
Herd, Dunne, Clark, Warnock
-----Ireland, Jenas, Delph
Bannan, Gabby, Albrighton
