For me he dose'nt get wide enough. I can't remember him crossing the ball into the box from a wide position too many times since he's been here. Young and Downing used to hug the touchline and he needs to start doing that too.

In the meantime though, i'd start giving Albrighton another go.

I've been out in Wigan tonight with three Wigan fans (hence the language), and none of them had a good word to say about him.

A night out in Wigan eh Risso ? - must have taken at least 20 minutes to cover the night spots?

I've not been in may town centres that size with quite so many pubs crammed in.

Even though he pretty much kept them up on his own at the end of last season?

It may help if we don't keep trying to put the ball on Bent's head from just in front of our own area, and actually gave N'Zogbia the ball to try and do something.

Can he?  I seem to recall everyone of his crosses being overhit on Saturday.  Then again he needs to find his range as he'snot getting enough game time at the moment.

At previous clubs he used take on players far more particularly one on one. He hasnt the confidence to do that at the moment. His workrate needs to improve too. Didnt he used play left back or wing back for Newcastle at times and he was like a Duracell bunny? battery seems to have gone flat for him so far but wouldnt write him off just yet. A goal would get the self belief kicking again.

Maybe his form for the majority of last season doesn't sit well with them?

I've no doubt that he's a talented player, but i'm starting to think he only performs when it suits him.

Its going to be very difficult to get the best out of him.

I think he was just a McLeish must have.   He got knocked back at Small Heath and the decision to buy him to play for Villa was just a personal thing by our manager to prove a point.   Like when your wife gets the hots for a handbag you say she cannot have, it is nailed on she will buy it just to prove she has a mind of her own and money of her own then chuck it in the bottom of the wardrobe.

N'Zogbia looks to be well on his way to the wardrobe.

Not sure about that.  We did need to replace Downing and Young, and there wasn't a lot of players we could afford who were available.  N'Zogbia was the most obvious candidate.

The cross he put over for Gabby's equaliser at Everton shows he can do it. At least you'll know that he'll stay out wide and take players on, which is what N'Zogbia should be doing.

At the end of the day, we have a striker who's capable of scoring 25 goals a season for us and so far this season, we've created next to nothing for him. If that carries on, we'll be down the wrong end of the table in May.

nzogbia is not an out and out winger though like albrighton is , charles likes to come inside often and ply more central whereas marc is undoubtedly a wide man.

He needs to deliver and quickly, its not as if hes come to a different league or country and we need to see much better from him and soon-we cannot carry passengers.

We've got one of the best 6yd box strikers in the league in Darren Bent and he's being starved of service.Whether it is an arm around the shoulder or a kick up the arse he needs,Mcleish needs to sort N'Zogbia out quickly. So far he has done nothing for me to think he's good enough.

Always looked a good tricky player everywhere else , looks so ordinary for villa ( does he room mate with Stephen Ireland ) hope he comes good , although not to hopeful at present as still got this stigma of him being awkward character .....off the pitch
