N'Zog looked shite yesterday.  I've no idea why but what I do know is that I could've contributed just as much, which as far as I could tell was limited to either running straight at the nearest defender or misplacing a pass (through-ball to Gabby for Bent's open goal miss aside).

I don't know what you were watching but the 'misplaced' pass was a sublime pass to Stan who put it on a plate for Bent to miss. Also, he set Gabby up for a shot early in the second-half which whistled just wide and he got to the bye-line late on and crossed and it was almost turned in by Bent (he got the groin injury at that point) I know he doesn't look up to speed yet but the guy's quality who can turn a match with a piece of magic. Ironically, he played his best game against Braga in the pre-season friendly and scored the equaliser. He'll come good soon.

@ Adam:

Would you except a 3 year contract with a pay scale remuneration tied into performance of 50k a week , if so, turn up with your boots on Tuesday night.....thang yow!!!!

I've got the same agent as NRC and he tells me there are Champions League clubs queueing up to sign me, so double it to £100k per week and we're talking!

Subline pass? You should be @Adam's agent. It was a good pass, an even better run by Petrov. As for his late on cross from the bye-line, it's argueable he should have put the ball in earlier. I think he suffered yesterday with the lack of space down the right side, it was very congested. Albrighton when he came on had acres to himself down the left.

He looks to be enjoying himself about as much as I've enjoyed his contribution to our team so far this season.
He looks totally out of sorts.
Hopefully this indifferent form won't last too much longer as we really need what he can offer to the team when he is on form.

He is a very talented player as we have all seen having watched him for Newcastle and Wigan over the years he usually makes life hell for us. He is just a typical signing once they sign for us they suddenly change and become different players - for the worse.

If he's not fit, why is he playing ? When we have a better option in Albrighton on the bench.

Was complete garbage on saturday apart from that good ball to Petrov.

I thought playing against Newcastle might have inspired him to play a bit better but it didn't.

Really disappointed in him so far.

Anyone worried this could be the managers version of MON's Petrov signing?

Petrov was the first big name MON signed, and was probably part of the agreement for MON coming, as he was signed just before the transfer window closed that season.

The current manager states to the board that we have to get N'zogbia. And he is played regardless of how he performs.

(I am obviously discounting Given's signing, as we didn't actually have a first choice goalkeeper).

It hasn't been good so far, but give the guy a chance.

Absolute tripe today he was.  He can't seem to run with the ball, can't go past players, cant cross, can't tackle and gave away a stupid free kick from which in the second phse of play Herd was sent off.
Waste of £10m IMO.

Jenas has been more effective than N'Zogbia so far

Some sign of progress would be nice but Zog seems to be getting worse with each game

Faceless performance today, once again.  I would be ecstatic if he could find his form, but there just doesn't seem to be the willingness from him to get involved.  I would be happier to see Marc playing every week, he has his faults but at least he would play with passion.
