I think there's a good chance Gardner could be involved, he didn't play for the reserves yesterday did he?

Well Makoun and Ireland have to start , Id like to play Bent too , I think you need your striker to keep getting goals on the board whoever we play , it just breathes more confidence  .      Nzogbia needs more games , as well as Albrighton .   so I would love to see all those 5 play, not sure how you would fit them all in ..   Petrov I would rest .

I think Gardner on twitter said he is recovering from a groin strain. And would only begin training later this week.

Yeah I heard a rumour he's struggling with an injury. That's quite disappointing as this is an ideal situation for him to come into.

Id be amazed if any of Petrov, Bent, Nzogbia, Gabby, Young, or Given play any part in this game.

I think he'll go something like;

Guzan

Lichaj
Clark
Dunne
Warnock

Bannan
Ireland
Makoun
Delph

Delfouneso
Heskey

Not the team I'd go with as I'd like to see Nzog and Gabby (if fit) in the side for confidence purposes but we do have a huge game on sat and AM will be mindful of that.

I think we'll win but it'll be closer than many think I reckon.  2-1.  Heskey with both.

They're bottom but one in the fourth division. If we can't use this as an opportunity to give a few players a chance to impress then we never will.

I hope Herd gets a run out, he impressed at right back at Derby.

I like Herd. He's versatile.
I think he could do well on the right of a midfield three and I'd have no problems with seeing him play tonight.

I think he's more promising than Hogg (not that I'm writing him off) for instance and he seems to have put a bit of muscle on over the last year.

I think 3-1 Villa. Delfouneso (2) and Ireland.

I'd go with this...

-------------Marshall--------------
-Herd--Cuellar--Clark--Lichaj--
----Makoun---------Hogg---------
-N'Zogbia--Ireland--Bannan---
------------Delfouneso-----------

Subs - Guzan, Collins, Warnock, Petrov, Albrighton, Bent, Weimann.

Just the one remaining in side from Blackburn being N'Zogbia, with a side full of players who want to prove themselves. Think Hogg and Herd especially can do a solid job, with Bannan, Makoun & Ireland showing what they're made of. Nice mix of experience/inexperience on the bench added to that to see us through.

I think he's more promising than Hogg (not that I'm writing him off)

I have already written hoggwash off
Jon Hogg is not up to premier league level
He has batttling qualities but is not much more than a water carrier.

5-2 at 80/1 looks like a good fun bet for a couple of quid, along with a more likely 5-1 at 25/1.

From the expresss and star

Alex Mac “It would be nice to do it two years in a row, but the big important place for us is the Premier League and trying to get as high up the table as we can.

Hereford, who drew 1-1 with Football League newboys AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, are 23rd in League Two and McLeish will make changes from the weekend’s 3-1 win over Blackburn.

Gabby Agbonlahor is a doubt after being replaced at half-time with a hamstring problem, while Emile Heskey and Luke Young were also withdrawn with abductor muscle and knee injuries respectively.

Brad Guzan could replace Shay Given, after thegoal keeper was troubled by a groin problem against Rovers.
