A classic away performance and Dean Saunders makes it four goals in his first three games.

Staunton and Spink had a bit of a mare didn't they? Good job we had the best strikers in the league

A memorable week of Villa games for me. I was living in Scotland and came down for the 4-2 'Rosenthal miss' game followed by a nice league cup interlude at Oxford midweek, 2-1 with their keeper visibly peed off with the 'no hair' chants, you could see the back of his neck reddening with annoyance/embarrassment. Then stopped off on the way back to Scotland for the 3-2 at Ayresome on a cold, foggy Saturday. Ayresome Park was everything you would expect for a grim northern town. I loved it even though it stank there.

A great week following Villa
