What a bollocks sending off.

I think that the "tabloid" ITV commentators have built up the controversy of that decision in order to increase the game's drama and get people talking.  It looked a yellow to me, so yellow to red isn't such a great leap.

Except that the IRB has given specific instuction that spear tackles are a red card offense. Basically most of the pundits are stating that it killed the game and was a bog decision in such a high profile match. For me the rules should be applied regardless of which game it is and when it happens in the game. Warburton was a prat for doing this and even giving the referee the chance to make the decision.
