Crikey, can you imagine the shit he would get on here if he supported Manure Chelsea Liverpool? He is a Villa fan as far as i am concerned and i am pleased about it.

What if Nick Griffin decided he was a Villa fan?
I would say I dont like your politics but I admire your choice of Football Club

David cameron supports the the villa.if your trying to win general support around the country then you don't tell everyone you support the villa because you alienate liverpool, man utd, abu dabi city, arsenal, spurs fans and whoever else.up the villa, too many doom and gloom merchants about.he's one of us and he's nailed his colours to the mast. whether he's good at politics or not, if i was in his position, i would do the same. up the villa!

Really? I'm pretty sure you don't. Apart from maybe the half-dozen Small Heath fans that are registered to vote, whose support he has probably lost to UKIP.

Other than that I'm not sure the average Man Utd or Liverpool fan could really give a toss. People stopped voting for Tony Blair because he was a twat, not because of his embarrassing Newcastle Utd guff.

thing is, whats more important, your politics or Villa. and bear in mind this is a Villa site. I'm a Tory and well lambasted on here for it. But if you dont want the prime minister of Britain to be a Villa fan then I would suggest that your politics are more important than the Villa. Now I cant stand Bliar or Brown, but if they had been promoting Villa I would have backed that too.

The alternatitrve view may well be that he is tory scum who may well be killing any chance of prosperity for anybody other than his friends for the next twenty years so should not at all cost be linked with our team.

Alright. I'll bite.

Politics *are* much more important than football. Politicians make decisions that can make or break your life, can send you to die at war in some arse-end of a country the other side of the world, can let you die because they're not funding the medical treatment you need, can make the difference between your kids ending up as lawyers or prison inmates.

Having said that, hate the fat faced, privileged rat as I do, I coudn't give a flying one if he wants to claim he's a Villa fan. I really don't care.

Quite agree with you dave as we are so inoffensive that we are a quite a good choice ie prince william "supporting" us.Fingers crossed we can one day be as unpalatable as Manure or chelski.

I despise the man's politics, but as long as we number Nazis and religious nutjobs among us, I don't have a problem with him being a Villa fan.

Thank you God - but I choose to ignore you

I think he is talking about a couple of people posting in the Roberto Carlos thread in Off Topic.

I am a socialist living in leafy Hereford!!!!!Politics is not more important than football.I do not vote because my vote is useless between Liberal and tory,my only alternative is a vote for labour who have no chance of winning and even if they do in the very very unlikely chance are just tory lite.
Football is more important!!!

Football has little real impact on your life. Politics impacts on it every second.

Almost everything you do is impacted by politics, think about it and you'll see.
