Talk of Shay Given. Who would you like and who do you think it will be?

Think it will be - Foster.

I'd like McGregor but I think it will be Foster, would be happy with either!
Givens good at saving shots, but not much else I don't think, he doesn't command his area well enough
I do really like the look of Kasper Schmiechel (or however its spelt!)

Prefer Foster. Could live with Given (not literally, that would be bizarre).

It has to be Shay Given.

Schmeichel has just been binned by Leeds... I doubt he'll be coming to us. If he does I'd be extremely worried.

McGregor for both. With AM in charge he could get him in with the Rangers links n' all.

Don't understand the clamour at all for someone like McGregor.  Unless they're a Henrik Larsson-like unbelievable talent I wouldn't go anywhere near that league.

There was a time when Rangers might have been on a par with say a Liverpool, or Arsenal finance wise and Celtic might have been a bit closer to a Newcastle or Villa.  The rest were 2nd division/ Championship standard.   Now even the Big two are signing their best players from the English lower leagues. In fact,  when they sell players, that seems to be the general direction too.

If that's the standard of the two best clubs, the rest of the league is probably now somewhere between old third division and conference level.

Didn't know that! Whenever I seen him he was very good. Why was he binned?

Depending on the money we have.

Loads to throw away: Foster
Reasonable budget: McGregor
Up shit creek: Al-Habsi
Leeds-esque debt: Schmeichel

I wouldn't mind any of them, as long as we don't get Given. There are probably a number of foreign goalkeepers that are better, but I don't see AM going abroad for such a key position.
