Someone who will organise our backbone and defence and carry on GH's template to play attacking 4-3-3 formation.

Whoever he reckons will best fulfil the role.  Ultimately the buck stops with McCleish, so he has to have the person who he wants.

It's up to McLeish. That said if he picks any of those listed in the poll I'd question his sanity.

Yoda, with the Jedi Council as coaches. I'd like to see anyone fuck with us after that.

Paul Tait - to take the flack away from Mcliesh and Lerner

Fat Baz - Dual role of Dunne's pie minder, and making the stadium look more full on match days

how would you know what the stadium really looks like on match day? You can only see bits of it on television, and it's even worse from your little monitor watching on the internet.

Inevitable response. Here's where you get to look even more foolish. Seeing as I come home 3 or 4 times a year, I plan it around Villa first team and reserve games. I will put money on the fact that I get to see more games live than you every season greg despite living thousands of miles away.

see i never understand people who move as far away from their club as possible and then seem to want a medal for coming back a few times a year. Don't move to another continent - problem solved and shows a bit more commitment i think.

life takes you in different directions greg. It's no more difficult a concept to understand than that. I don't want a medal for attending games, but maybe we should offer you one if you were to go down yourself. My living where I do has zero to do with my commitment to Villa. What's your commitment to the club other than being a constant cynic and skeptic?

Well I've never really understood anyone who would put supporting a football club above family and work when deciding where to live.

i've done my time during the 80's and 90's when the football was for the most part meh so i reckon i've probably still got a few games on you. Fact is i have been down since my self-imposed exile, but i'm still not convinced things are going to be any different from the ellis years especially after the last week, and you may have appointed yourself Chief Cheerleader of the new Mcliesh era but i will continue to view things in a cynical manner as any fan with common sense would. All i will say about your geographical location is i would never move that far from a club and still support it. You end up like those embarrassing ex-pats who spend their whole time ordering marmite on the internet because they can't stand the "locals food"
