What the ups and downs of our beloved club over past months, one thing remains constant: DOL = Bellend.

The O'Leary comments may just as well have been.

'I'm still here, don't forget me, i'm a great Manager.'

I'm still here. I'm great. I'd manage the Blues.

I'm getting more and more optimistic by the day. McLeish seems very driven and determined and will do everything in his power to prove himself.  Id rather that than a half-hearted Ged or stroppy MO'N waiting for a bigger job.

I like the fact he seems based in some sort of realism too, improve last seasons position is the only target he is setting, so not trying to build expectation too high. I think we could have a decent run, and 55 plus points would be a good season league wise.

I think he'll make us hard to beat, exactly the opposite of many games last season.

I'm trying to make a meme.

Remember when Carson Yeung infamously said at his first press conference saying Blues would have £40-80 million to spend on players?

That's why McLeish is smiling/lauging in the picture.

Presume this has already been posted, but I can't be bothered trawling through. Interesting point about the lack of senior executives at the presser though!

Zigic 6 million
Gardner 3.5 million
Foster 6 million
Beausjour 4 million
Michel 3 million

Total 22.5 million

Edit: urgh, I see Villas-Boas has resigned :(

He could of really made a name of himself next season in the Champions League, but he'll be given 2 years max at Chelsea, if he doesn't win the European Cup he'll be fired and his repuatation will be diminished.

And Davies was £3m, but to be fair it is reported that Zigic was a 'present' from the chairmen.

In the way getting a turd through the letterbox is a 'present'.
