Chelsea have shown Lerner how to appoint a quality manager that you really want. Pay the money.

Yes but any decent manager would want money to spend on players.  This awful, awful manager will just be happy to be in such a cushy job.  When he is sacked he'll get a huge pay off, but at least the board will have saved money on transfer fees.

Yes, of course he will. He's got no interest in being a success or his reputation in the game it's all about earning a pay off.

I hope he doesn't get into trouble for biting the photographer's hand off.

Perhaps the photographer offered him a 150% pay rise.  Wouldn't any "brave" man bite someone's hand off for that?

I wondered what the fuck happened to Jimmy Somerville.

Ironically, I've been singing 'Tell me why' since he's been appointed.

His reputation in the game you say?  Hmmm.

Thats not an arm! It is the back of Peter Pannu's head.

He popped his head in (side on) to see if they could sue for any more if he is caught with a Villa scarf!

So now they don't want to win games or be successful, they just want to save money. They may not be covering themselves in glory at the moment, but some of the stuff that's being said is just pathetic.

What the fuck does "Hmmm" mean?

Yes, his reputation in the game. Have you read any of the stuff written about him recently, by people in the game, or have your specs been too steamed up from being permanantly outraged?

No, of course you haven't, you're not interested in balance only that he used to manage 've scum'.

Small town boy springs to mind...Or should that be 'Small club boy'...

'Pushed around and kicked around
You were the one
That they'd talk about around town
As they put you down
And as hard as they would try
They'd hurt to make you cry'

If we'd have taken as long as Chelsea to appoint a manager, most people on this forum would've imploded.

Have you considered for second that he had a good reputation coming out of Scotland? That he might be incredibly motivated to rebuild that reputation on a bigger stage. Harry Redknapp rebuilt his reputation at Portsmouth and Spurs despite having a less than spectacular reputation at Bournemouth, Southampton and West Ham. Yet we'd all pretty much agree he's a very good manager now. Don't you think those experiences helped him?

When the red mist clears try and ignore for a second the fact that he managed that lot, and give him a chance to prove himself to us.
