How come there hasn't been an officioal press conference unveiling McLeish as our new manager?

Or have I missed it?

Cheers.

I think it is fair to say, with McLeish's record over the years, you can make it sound good or bad by what you leave out in the arguement.  He is not brilliant and he is not the opposite, he is an average manager that has not, as yet, shown in the PL he is good enough for Aston Villa.

Let us hope that changes with us and he gets back to playing with some adventure and thinks beyond his 3 year contract.

Any ideas what time? I've got a quiet day tomorrow and I might get on telly as the only man there to welcome him.

Although I've been dead against this appointment, the realisation has finally set in. Alex Mcleish - Aston Villa Manager.
Best of Luck to him and the team, I really hope he proves me wrong and we have a good season.

Can't argue with any of that.

If they remake Charlie and the Chocolate Factory again, eastie can play Mike TV. He'd be watching Sky Sports 24-7.

I read that the press conf. is at Bodymoor Heath, is that correct ?
If so, is there any significance in that ?

How will the hoards of adoring fans welcome the new boss all the way out there ?

I can't imagine why its not at Villa Park.

The club has the courage of its own convictions...doesn't it ?

He's never done press conferences it's not his style but what has bottle got to do with it?
