Wanted out of Forest because he said he was being played out of position. Came here uncapped, became an England world cup player whilst with us then wanted out because he thought he was too good for us. Went to Spurs, didn't like living on his own in London so wanted out to go to back to Forest. Wanted back out of Forest when his contract was up and Leeds offered him more money. I have no idea why he's not loved.

Anybody remember his cringeworthy 'interview' on the pitch by Tony Stephens ?

The only thing I would say in his favour was that he was the first England Villa player I can recall who played at a world cup, and he did rather well.

He still is, was a tosser of the highest order. Knowing how out of touch our current owners are he'll probably be in the top 50 list they are running !

I've heard Bid Eck wants him as his assistant.

And that assist for Maradona's "hand of god" goal just adds to the legend.

And then has paraded the shirt he swapped with him after the same match ad nauseum ever since.  Fucker.

So a Villa player getting a call up for England then deciding he is too good for us isn't a new occurance !!

Barry ,Milner ,Young..So we could call it doing a Hodge from now on

I can recall when that name couldn't be published on these boards.
