Are the old threads archived anywhere or are they lost forever?

A bit of both.

John Blackwell's list of managers who were better than Martin O'Neill.  John Blackwell claiming that Oyvind Leonhardsen was one of the world's best midfielders.

If hell does indeed freeze over in the next couple of days, I think we will have quite a few new candidates.

The spoof thread "Taylor Resigns" was good entertainment with Robobum going apoplectic with rage.

It hasn't been mentioned on H&V much but apparently we're looking for a manager or something?

The 'comic relief donation thread'......the name of the particular individual escapes me but I think it was Salifou who kept winding him up! I had the link saved on my old computer at work but lost it when I changed jobs.....I used to just read it during quiet times when I needed a livener.....absolutely hysterical! In fact.....the reason I eventually signed in to H&V after a fair few months of being merely a voyeur!

when I first found this site a couple of years back there used to be almost weekly threads with Gregnash going absolutely bonkers about one thing or another. Wasn't he always arguing with Chris Smith or have I got that wrong? They were quite funny threads.

Also the "dilemma" thread with Supertom et al. Very very funny at times.

I can honestly say that after supporting Villa for 47 years this is the worse reaction i have known since the board was kicked out in the early sixties
