Title: Subjects that have created an H&V Storm
Post by: Fergal on June 14, 2011, 05:14:24 PM
I have been trying to think of other subjects that have created a storm on here like the current situation.  Without turning this into another 'Manager' thread what topics keep cropping up that make us:
1. Go mad
2. Keep starting and locking threads
3. Keep chucking Shit at the fan

If you know what I mean. We ain't had a Peter Crouch thread for ages :)

when I first found this site a couple of years back there used to be almost weekly threads with Gregnash going absolutely bonkers about one thing or another. Wasn't he always arguing with Chris Smith or have I got that wrong? They were quite funny threads.

Also the "dilemma" thread with Supertom et al. Very very funny at times.

I think in these dark days the mods should pick a Golden thread and re-release it - locked so its for reading enjoyment only - just so we can have a bit of mirth. To be fair, its ages until we play again and there's only so much we can say about Lerner or Garde. Maybe pick out 3 threads and put a vote before releasing it for a week and then consigning it back to where old threads go.

Mazrim's band (Cudamantra) were, I thought, very good. Their bass player used to post here too.

It was. And still is.

"The fuhrer had no choice but to invade the east, Germany needed living space, it was unfortunate that so many people died, but unavoidable"

- jackthevillain

Probably the greatest thread on this version of the board (http://www.heroesandvillains.info/forumv3/index.php?topic=43999.0)

"I don't really agree with Hitler trying to exterminate all the Jews but let's face it - it made more economic sense than deporting them all to Madagascar".

Some of it is spectacular.

Point of order. Somebody (Stu?)said on circa p17 that 'Japan has the most homogenised society in the western world.' I'm on p21 and I'm yet to see anyone point out that Japan isn't in the western world. You communist running dogs.

Unless he was being ironic, like you Guardianistas always are, you filthy collaborationist pigs.

One can only assume he refers to "Western" as part of the neo-liberal pan-national military/industrial complex that transcends geography physically and culturally - either that or he doesn't know where Japan is?  ;-)
