I refuse to believe we're even considering McLeish. The man who's taken Birmingham down twice in, what, four seasons? They actually had a pretty decent squad this season and still went down - with the worst goalscoring record in the league too, wasn't it?

I wouldn't see any positives in this.

i dont want him because of his style of play,
 but why just mention the relegations, what about the fact that he's there the most succesfull manager of all times, he won the first major honour in there entire history,

i for one didnt think they would ever win anything in my lifetime, but they have under AM,
 so we need some balance, yes he's been relegated a couple of times, he's also won the league and a few cups in Scotland had a decent time when manager of Scotland,
he's not completley useless,

put it this way, he's won more than Moyes, Hughes, Martinez and Coyle all put together,
they might not have the relegations on there CV's, but they aint got any trophies either.

well said John, winning trophies is not just down to money it is also a very good habit and although I would not be pleased with his appointment, I would still back the team,the club and yes the manager !

I've amended it slightly to make you happier, John. Sorry for the one-sided post - just answering the thread title. On balance, I acknowledge the League Cup win, but look at the dour, defensively-minded team he's put together and seen relegated twice and have decided he's not the man for us.

Im not holding the fact he got Birmingham relegated against him.  Infact, that calls for some sort of award.  He would sort out our defence.  He knows how to win things.  No point worrying, my money is on him going to Everton to replace the Villa bound Moyes

I thing one thing that Randy is looking to achieve with an appointment is reunite the fanbase as I think one of the things about last season they want to avoid is a split group,  we should all be in it together.
