I completely forgot about this.

What have I missed? Has Carl Froch been on yet?

I've just watched Kell Brook vs Lovemore N'Dou, and it was a terrific performance by Brook really ready to step up to World level. Macklin is putting in a great performance against Sturm in Germany at the moment.

Yeah should have been, but both fights were terrific and an advert for boxing.

Hmmm. Macklin v Elcock in Birmingham. 'Battle of Brum,' corner wearing Small Heath shirts. Macklin v Sturm, he's now more Irish than Paddy McGinty's goat.

That's as maybe Dave, but he was robbed tonight to yet another German block/jab/run away-for-12-rounds-get-the-home-decision fighter, a la Sven Ottke.  How two judges gave it to Sturm by 4 rounds, unless they're bent, I'll never know.

And that's far from the worse decision I've seen given over here.

I don't know that was nothing like a Sven Ottke, Sturm put in a lot of good work. He never won by 4 rounds but a split decision I could see looking back at it.

I gave it to Sturm by a round, but he's the home fighter and the champion so Macklin was never going to get the decision. It wasn't a robbery, and in any case after some of the Sky Fight Night decisions over the past few years we hardly have room to talk.

Hmmm, I wouldn't say a lot of good work, he did belatedly try to up in the second half, but the more work came from Macklin.

Good thing for Haye next week that Wlad has a glass jaw.
