I fucking hate cricket.
I'm with you, what other sport can drag on for weeks on end to get a result from two teams playing a game and finish in a draw if it rains at the wrong time?
Check this England team out.

I love test cricket, it's the best.  I've even given up my favourite away fixture to be at Edgbaston in two weeks.

I think cricket is like rugby: at the highest level it is a fantastic game of high drama and skill and can be really pulsating. At a lower level with poor crowds and weak technique it is quite dull.

When walking through a park I will always stop and watch a game of football, regardless of the level, and can spend 15-20 minutes ambling by and being drawn into the action. It rarely takes me more than 1-2  minutes to pass a cricket or rugby game.

The cricket is partly my old man's fault: even though I was in the school team he used to describe it with Dublin disdain as "organised loafing".

Depends on if it's a winning draw or losing draw!!

I am a grumpy old man who has supported the Villa for close on 50 years, but this season I am not renewing my season ticket. Money is the root of all evil and football has sold its soul to the devil.

It's the love of money that is the root of all evil, but I'm just being pedantic. I completely agree with you. Pictures of Scudamore smugly sitting there whilst the hordes of Chinese in blue shirts clicking away on their cameras keep the filthy lucre flowing, it's disgusting what greed and money have done to the sport.

I'll be there too and I'm pretty lucky with the weather, usually.
I'm in the new posh seats too.

Possibly worse, it starts on the Wednesday so with Saturday being day 4 I will probably only get to see cricket up until lunch.  I have yet to see a full day's cricket at Edgbaston.

There's always the Guinness tent. You drink one for me at Edgbaton and I'll have one for you at Fulham.

I'm with the corporates so pints of Guiness might look a bit odd at 10.30 am.

I'll just have to wait till 11am.
