If I may say so  ::), we are not defending well at all.

We're not, but for me it's the total lack of protection afforded to our centre-backs by the midfield.

Midfield has been awful, offering nothing to the defence and nothing going forward. Which is a tad worrying.

How's Ireland played just got in?

I only realised he was on when he was substituted.

Actually no, that's unfair.  He blazed a great opportunity way over the bar in the first half so he's not been totally anonymous.

We look tired and jaded - and the way the players are arguing and waving their arms at each other is not good.  We look washed out.

When we get possesion Chelski press us as a team and we shit ourselves and end up with one of the defenders hoofing it forward - giving Chelski possession - and we chase shadows individually - as they control the ball.  Awful.

Is Gary Gardner out there with them?
I would like to see the lad get a few minutes if he is.

There were a couple of flashes of what Delph is capable of.

I think Makoun definitely needs to start in our midfield, to keep it ticking.

He is - apparently he beat Benty in the final of the players' FIFA12 competition!!

I agree, and I just hope that Makoun is as good as I think he might be. I'm still not sure we couldn't do without an 'anchorman', though.

Makoun next to Parker or someone like that would do for me.

As it's only a pre-season I wouldn't mind too much if we lost, I would just like to see us atleast put some effort in...
