I can't get angry. McLeish is a steady and dull appointment after the mistake that was Houllier, that's the biggest criticism I can find - I'm more concerned he'll have little to work with. If they start playing Mr Blue Sky over the tannoy, invite Jasper Carrot to games or ask the buggers to move in to share our stadium, then I'll lose it.

Winning silverware with that shower was more than we've managed in 15 years. We shouldn't get above ourselves. Even Martinez didn't want to come to us.

A voice of reason in a sea of insanity.

He'll just have eleven expensive players behind the ball rather than cheap ones.

This makes no sense and I still dont think it will happen.
That is amusing because was GH not criticised about the defense?
[/quote]

GH played more attacking football and there was only one goal between us. I dont get this 'McLeish is a defensive guru' line, he played dire defensive football and still got those ****** relegated, twice. His tactics were a complete failure.

Ive just started to shave my testicles. I know its nothing to do with the managemefnt situation, but I think its a valid point worth sharing.

Did you take a nick out of them when you inserted that erroneous 'f'?

I think he's right, history has been proven time and time again that certain defining moments and events, everything changes.

I'm going to cut me foreskin of, so everytime a got to the toilet or decide some stimulation is in order i can think Alex McLiesh did this.

There's certainly a school of thought that the board has decided (after being made to look like weak pillocks after the McClaren situation) that they are simply pissing in the wind with Villa and by getting in McLeish they've all but given up hope of anything but mid-table mediocrity with a whiff of possible cup success. Nevertheless, had they opted to take this course of action they surely should have taken the path of less resistance with other managers.
IF the board are looking for a Mr Steady, why go for one that upsets the apple cart?

Getting relegated twice in 3 years is also more than most managers get a chance to manage. Shocking. He bought a lot of players deemed not good enough for us and took them down a  level. he bought Zigic, Bowyer, and then took a convicted sex-offender on thinking he was the answer to their problem of how to score their way out of the Coke league.

Can't get angry? You may as well get the practice in if the board are stupid enough to do what should be the absolutely unthinkable.

Apparently Zigic was bought as a present from Carson Yeung. Talk about unwrapping a turd.
