Mail front page headline says he'll be our Manager tomorrow.

Dear God, what are they thinking?

They're not thinking. But I am. I'm thinking they can fuck off.

The fact that the noses are pissing themselves laughing says it all really.

#avfc fully intend to appoint McLeish in next 36 hours despite fans' and #bcfc objections

The final nail is near guys!
I haven't renewed yet. Not sure what to do.

I've renewed and to be honest can't be assed to go through the whole migramole of getting a refund.

I've renewed and dont want to go through the whole rigmarole of getting a refund.  They could put Gaddafi in charge and I'm sure most if not all fans will still go.

At least Gaddafi would tell the players to bomb the opposition. He would give unbelievable press conferences.

I think today could be one of my worst days as a villa fan. I say that because expectations were so high and the outcome so bloody pathetic.

The worst thing is, the board can't even back out now without making the whole sorry mess look even worse. They are so far down the road of appointing him that, realistically they have to do it now. To not do so, after the McClaren snub and the bashing from the media and fans the club has received of late, would only contribute to the belief (held by the wider public and increasingly VIlla's own fans) that they haven't got a clue what they're doing.

They've completely backed themselves into a corner with the prevaricating of the last couple of weeks, the media black out, the PR gaffes and now the increasingly bitter and completely public argument with BCFC. What a complete shambles.

Well done the board, you've managed to alienate a large proportion of the media and now you seem hell bent on doing the same with your fan base.  Hope springs but seriously, what the fuck are you thinking?

Once this appointment goes through this is the end for this regime and any sort of ambition.

Is this really what all the fuss is about?

It's  a sad day if we are questioning the ability of McLeish on what the knuckledraggers think.

All the posters who rubbished Houllier must be delighted, could they ever have dreamed that we would get such a top manager, General K must be right he is a proven performer at the top level and if he had the backing at the sty he could have turned them into a top four side. So after having months of notice that a new manager would be required the best they could come up with is a manager who got his team relegated twice in three years. General you may be great as a soldier and Faulkner may be great at many things but as football aministrators you both are absolute dire.
