yeah well i'm just a bit pissed off like most on here. its the 15th, we're back in pre-season training in less than a month, we have no manager and the chief candidate is about as popular as genital warts, we have half a squad with more to leave including Young and whoever comes will need time to buy replacments and try to get some sort of coherant team together.  Apologies for being a bit touchy but bent and pavelechcho playing together is the least of our problems.

Anyway ignore me, i'm going to bed.

I can't believe people are going to protest tomorrow at Villa Park about McLeish. Is it just me that believes that Big Eck is a decent manager? I mean the people who are going to protest tomorrow must believe he is a very very VERY bad manager.

I personally think due to the fact that everybody knew ged aka houliier had medical problems since atleast 5 months ago , the board knew this yet they didn't act upon it , due to the media pressure and roberto martinez snub lerner has been put into pressure , mcleish is a manger who does not need vast funds , a ideal choice for lerner , thus hinting us villa fans yet again that lerner is not going to put that much money into the club this year , The board are under alot of pressure to find a manger , all the media talk is about villa , all the radio talks hows are about villa , they are criticizing the way we have been lackluster in appointing somebody , lerner has already backed away from rafa , mclaren and god knows who , The dumb American thought he got martinez thus why he left uk the day before to head to America , when he heard martinez rejected us i can only presume that panic mode set in ... thus leaving mcleish as the number one candidate ...

Idiots every single one of the board members , from randy to Faulkner to the general .

If we take McLeish it is the same as Waitrose turning into Costcutter.

Decent , define decent , do you mean winning something in a mickey mouse league such as the SPL is decent ? , getting birmingham relegated twice in three years , is that decent ?

The bloke is a grade A pillock , he manged the scum , that is point 1 , Point 2 is that he is utterly crap now let me go back to point one , who in there right mind would want a prick from SHA to manage us , his football philosophy  makes MON,s philosophy look like the 1950,s Hungary..

Difference is if that happened then the new Costcutter would get more customers than previously, whereas we may well get less.

If Villa want to think outside the box how about this suggestion.

Diego Aguirre of Penarol. He done very well with the team.

Don't ask me what he is like as I have no idea.

This is looking like the inevitable...and it couldnt get any more twisted that the only saving grace to stop from this happening could be the sty dwellers from where the ginger one came. Very surreal.

Whats the chances of us landing Foster once the pantomime is over or does Randy see this all in a completely different light and simply taking the piss out of them as much as he can?

Conceded more goals than scored and lost 5 out of 12 yet still in the final. I see.  Sounds like Blose league cup run.

Just read the last 60 pages as i've been away from the web all day and if he is our new manager tomorrow all I can say is it feels like i've woken up in surreal and horrible world. I will still support the Villa of course, I just hope this doesn't turn the fans against RL after the great work he has done. He does have his reasons for hiring him that we can't see in AM (and considering the huge amount of negative feedback) it looks like it will happen but this is a massive risk that could ruin his relationship with the fans for quite a long time, UTV.

 :DTAKE A HIKE
ASTON VILLA director Charles Krulak has told the club's fans to butt out of the appointment of a new manager.

The American reacted to the flood of anti-Alex McLeish messages to the club.

Krulak said: "The uproar over McLeish is uncalled for.

"He has proved he can manage in the big leagues - just imagine what he could do if he was with an owner who supported him."

In a message to Villa fans, he said: "You cling to the fact he's seen his lads relegated twice. Well, the first time he was not with the club long enough to make a difference. Secondly, look at the owners he's worked for and support of him monetarily.

"Then look at our owner Randy Lerner and what he provides to his managers
well know were i am not wanted
right were to park on match days at walsall

It could be just the thing though. The shite win a trophy for the first time and we then Nick their manager.

Let's face it, he's done bloody well to do that.

He will shore up our shoddy defence and has never had the range of attacking options there that he will have with us.

He had better have some quick success though.

Frankly, if he could take us to a cup triumph I'd not give a toss he'd been appointed, would you?

Was very successful at Rangers and for a short time with the Scottish national team. Goes to small heath too late to save them from relegation in his first season. Gets promotion at the first attempt and they then finish 9th in the premier league. Wins a trophy the next year and then loses key players through injury and gets relegated again. From day 1 he inherited a shit team with no real money to change things overnight so takes the pragmatic route and makes them difficult to beat, ( for a while). I'm pretty sure that if he had the players to get it down and pass it, that's what he would do. Why is he perceived as being such an awful manager when he's already won a heap of trophies yet people would piss their pants with excitement at the prospect of Moyes taking over who has so far won jack shit with a team who dont exactly play free flowing , beautiful football? I couldnt give a toss whether he's managed the filth or not, if he's appointed then he's the Aston Villa manager, he will need our support and has just as much chance of being succesful as any of the other names that have been bandied about. If you think standing on the North Stand car park shouting at empty offices and fuelling more negative publicity will help then good luck.
