Shearer talking to Cardiff about becoming their next manager - it says something about the sad state of affairs that I'd rather it be Shearer than McCleish!

Mind you he did follow it up with... "can I support Liverpool instead?"
The force is strong in that one.

Well done Mysteryman - a tour de force of sillyness.

On a more serious note we're a laughing stock - this is akin to Joe Kinnear. This managers negative tactics make John Gregory look adventurous. We simply cannot expect anything from this appointment but the nick a goal tactic.

I was in the Ged out camp as I thought it was a laughable appointment but he made it ten times worse than it should have been. Now I'll admit I should have just shut up - but I thought the board were better than this yet now I know.

I'll be all for keeping Eck because if he goes we will only have a choice of Iain Dowie or Dave Bassett.

It's patently obvious that having spunked a load of money on O Neill and failed, the control is on and trust will only be given on performance. Again thats the boards fault (with O Neill implicit). They're well intentioned but they're also thick as shit when it comes to football.

I'd rather it had been McClaren than McLeish. So, so sorry.

Sorry Redman but living in Formby he would have to be a Blue - all the Reds are from North Wales and Scandinavia :)

I'd still like Poyet. Saw him talking about his transfer targets on Sky today and he obviously has a plan. His team play good football and he is ambitious. Worse than McLeish? How?
