How are the fans "hurting" Aston Villa? We are the lifeblood of this club, the owner is just passing through, managers and players too.
I don't think WE make the club a joke.

Well like most, i'm not happy either but have supported Villa through thick and thin and would never turn anywhere else.
Randy is a villain and is doing what he sees best regardless of our thoughts.
As for McLeish, he plays a 4-5-1 system, which may suit us if we keep Downing and the others, to belt balls over for Bent.
Looks like i will have more of a choice when it comes to choosing my seats for this year !

Why is someone who has premier league experience but has failed miserably preferred to a coach who has won European Cups?

Pat Fucking Murphy gloating about it (20 minutes after it's broken everywhere else) and getting on his "why won't Randy talk to me hobby horse.

Anyone who protests is just hurting Aston villa and making our club look a joke - let's get behind the team and give him a chance please?

In three years time, we'll be all laughing into our 2014 blu-ray of the European Cup Final wondering what all the fuss was about circa June 2011.

Sits back, relaxes and opens ANOTHER litre bottle of Jack Daniels.

"Otherwise, the natural tensions and competitive pressures that are involved with every season will ultimately cause instability and make continuity impossible"

Well they have just added to the instability and tensions. Well fucking done. Im furious and whilst not going to turn my back on supprting the club, there is NO good grace left for me with Lerner and the rest. You can stick your mosiacs, Holte Pub where the sun doesn't shine. It's about FOOTBALL and WINNING. Live by the sword, die by the sword. This will make or break you. Fucking livid

well at least Foster will be coming  ;-0

I doubt it.  Or if he does Pannu will make us pay over the odds.

Fuck.  Pannu is our best hope of stopping this.

The compensation is going to take months to sort, but if we offer 10 for Foster, he will be sold, Blues are up the shit. They were also on the verge of sacking Eck 4 weeks ago but could not afford it. They have buggered him a lot, but he now has a huge opportunity. Time to wipe the slate and judge him on one thing only. Next season.

Agreed very well put!

I can confidently predict that IF we go a goal down in the first game the fans will turn on him - I can also confidently predict that there'll be a number of empty seats come the first home match.
If our board honestly believe that the two statements above are worth taking the risk on, for a man who has relegated a team TWICE then be my guest Randy, but personally speaking you'll have disappointed me immeasurably.

If he wins it three times, I'll grudgingly accept him.

If they back him in the transfer market it might work out, he is a very negative manager in football terms on his form with Scotland and Small Heath, not sure how he played when he was at Rangers with more at his disposal in comparison to his opponents.

This isn't a positive appointment but the board have to be allowed to appoint whom they best see fit.

Well we can't do anything to stop them.  We don't have to like it though.  It is further proof, that Randy doesn't understand English football, and that he is seemingly bent on continuing his dismal record in appointing Browns and Villa managers.  Way to go Randy, what a bloke.

He can be a good bloke that makes poor decisions. It is a huge shame if people forget the good things he has done.

Right then it's official from the club that they intend to interview a manager who has relagated the same team twice in 3 years, plays dire footbal and  was not even liked by the blues fans.

If ever there was a time for fans to get down VP and cause a stink nows the time.

Randy sir you are a pillock.

so many blose fans saying they are so happy hes gone , saying the football was absolutely awful..  one said to me , he was pissing himself laughing on the floor when they won the cup , as he thought they were so crap and couldnt believe they got that lucky goal...    they have had to watch so more dire football ..       im shocked If this happens...

in my opinion he will be announced on Friday, same day as fixtures come out

The club are hoping that employing him now then by the time the season starts all will be forgiven

Hope that Lerner has deep pockets to cover the lost revenue!!

I still hold out hope that it won't be Mcleish. I can't say for certain, but before we hired Houllier, wasn't there a raft of interviews with various people? Houllier's name wasn't even mentioned till very late on.

I'm hoping that this is another interview and the board just want to check as many possibilities as they can before they commit to someone.

Please let this be the case. I'm not even that opposed to McLeish, it's the black cloud of negativity over Villa Park that this would bring (should it happen) that concerns me.
It's lookin like hope is all we've got!
