So we acted like gentleman throughout the whole embarrassing process and then we act like c*nts to employ this clueless c*nt?

I still can't believe it will happen. If it happens I won't believe it has happened.

If it us true this is a shabby way to poach a manager, whichever club we're dealing with.

I don't care whether Faulkner has someone near to signing this rumour has to be stamped on, if the Villa board want to alienate a huge percentage of its supporter base they are going the right way about it. May i wash my mouth out but we would not have had this farce in Deadlys day, I thought McClaren was bad but if it was a choice of either give me Mac any day.

I said to people when they were turning their noses up at Hughes that they should be careful what they wished for.

And I said that when anticipating a much less bad appointment than this. We've looked like amateurs throughout this whole process.

I'll support him. He'll be Villa manager if all this stuff is true for Christ's sake but I think for most he will need to hit the ground running and just about all the goodwill the board has built up has evaporated.

With Hughes available and basicially saying "come and get me" they go for McLeish instead?!

I'm sorry but any person who hires that Kia bloke to represent them must be a complete wanker
. Hughes hasn't done anything in the game yet (as a manager) to justify the level of arrogance or disrespect he showed Fulham.

Or realise that he is extremely clever and can make them a lot of money.

Utterly speechless. I just don't know what to say. What's on his cv that makes the board think he can do a job? I can't fucking believe it.

I'm not sure if the board know what is best for the club. This isn't it. They can't ask us to blindly support something that is such a bad decision.

Ask yourself where we'd be if MoN had stayed.  Serious question
Playing footsie with third rate ascendants really irks me.
MON is gone and that is that and we can only consider matters. We certainly would not have been cosying up to relegation and I doubt we'd be 9th either.
he is gone and we are trying to attract 2nd hand third raters...oh dear me.
Rijkaard if he comes would give hope..the rest oh dear oh dear me.
How low the proud Villa has fallen.

I agree with you to a large extent about MON, but suggest you put your tin hat on after that post.

Instead of all this negativity, maybe we should get behind one acceptable candidate and throw our support behind that person in the same way that fans showed their opposition to McClaren.

I suggest we have a - Given the reality, would you like Mark Hughes to be manager, kind of poll!

Dark days at Villa Park.

Having played a blinder for three years, Randy - as represented by his Board (Paul Faulkner during that period) - seems to be doing his very best to throw it all away. We look like complete amateurs, refusing to sign one manager (probably the best qualified) due to the manner in which he breaches his contract and then get caught tapping up the poorly qualified manager who is, to boot, a Nose.

If the GK FB post was true, it alluded to "asking Sir Alex about AM..." and "the people who make a living from recommending managers and players..."... Which reflects the lack of football expertise on the Board. It seems as though we take a poll among the great and the good of the PL before making an appointment.

Said great and good must be having a right laugh at this moment, I'd say.

I just want to say something I hope you all take on board.

IF he comes.. back the club, back the man. Give him a chance, otherwise we're in for a nightmare from the very start.

Spot on

So.... did Moyes end up having that press conference yesterday?  Or was that more bullshit?

It was bullshit in the same way that the General Krulak Facebook post was bullshit.

Turn your bullshit detectors up to 11 folks as I suspect this will not be the end of it.

Sweet baby Jesus and the orphans, I must be dreaming this surely?

Had a season ticket (and have already paid for next year) for nearly twenty years, but if this happens I shall be trying for a refund.

It's not just that he is a knuckledragger, he is an awful manager to boot!

Please please please if Alex mcleish is the man randy chooses and it looks like he is then gets get behind the manager, the chairman and the team- for the good of Aston villa!

All this talk about protests etc makes us look like a joke and laughing stock and if that's the way our fans want to act then no decent manager or player worth his salt would be interested in coming here.

Get behind randy and mcleish and let's see where it takes us before passing judgement- I love this club and this in fighting is hurting us.
