What's with all this "I wont renew my season ticket if McLeish gets the job"?
In the PL it's not bums on seats that matter just Murdoch's billions. You only have to watch any live match on Sky to see the acres of empty seats at most PL matches.
So as long as Sky bankroll the PL, clubs couldn't give a shit about season ticket sales.
I can't find the exact figures but bums on seats are a very small factor when it comes to a clubs income.

On the plus side, at least you can be sure Randy will back Eck to the hilt.

He's got no chance otherwise.

This is the man who chose to spend money on that utter carthorse Zigic.  Giving him money is the worst thing you could do.

Not his choice apparently

Why not Hughes or any other fucker who have a far better record? Doing it on the cheap are we? Best man for club my arse.

I didn't want Hughes at all but compared to Mcliesh he's fucking Guardiola

In 3-4 days I predict McLeish will be our new manager. They need to find a manager as soon as possible, just like we have to. They will eventually have to give permission to us to talk with him for a realease fee of about 3m.

I'd rather have had Allardyce than McLeish.

The longer this rambles on the more I believe it has something to do with Hughes (directly or indirectly) and him seeing out his notice.

If the board want to appoint McCleish then do it, sooner rather than later. We'll all back Villa whatever is said, we always do. But AM has got hell of a job on his hands to turn an awful lot of people around. I suspect nothing less than free flowing football, a trophy and a top 6 finish would prevent a stream of "told you so" aimed at the board. I even wonder if AM wants to come here THAT badly knowing he's gonna be crucified at the slightest lapse.

All that said, I still don't see him coming.

Great, next season will be even worse then this season just gone.

We'll sign some no-mark Scottish players and be involved in a Survival Sunday with Swansea, QPR and Wolves with Norwich already being relegated and we'll lose more of our best players. Brilliant!

Get rid of Houllier, then bring in Big Eck! Makes total sense.

no he's not greg. I'm not a fan of McLeish but at least he's had some success as a manager. Hughes has won precisely sweet fuck all as manager of Wales and at 3 club sides. He's massively overrated.

no i was realistic. welll i thought i was realistic. Apparently the shortlist was made up of candidates who were either relegated or nearly relegated so obviously not.

I'm sorry but any person who hires that Kia bloke to represent them must be a complete wanker. Hughes hasn't done anything in the game yet (as a manager) to justify the level of arrogance or disrespect he showed Fulham.
