Krulak comments, oh my god. We really have been knocked back by our top 10 candidates if Mcleish is top now.

Randy knows more about football then the fans? I think not.

He might know more about AMERICAN football but certainly not the British version!

It certainly reads like one of his posts...

Really, do you think so?  He appears to be responding to media speculation in that post when he's said many times that he won't. He's not going to put stuff like that on Facebook knowing any passing journalist can pick up on it. I'm sure it's a fake.

Someone posts some text, allegedly written by the General & suddenly it's taken as being gospel. For feck sake are you really that gullible to take this at face value??

It doesn't really matter whether supporters are right or wrong about managers.

Without popular support, the appointment is doomed.

McLeish would be managing Villa with the sword of Damocles perilously swinging above his head.

Surely if we didnt interview mclaren because of fans disapproval then mcleish won't get anywhere near. And t those who say he wouldnt be a bad appointment, he's been relegated twice in four years, a track record like that shouldn't be anywhere near Aston villa

The point is, who actually have we interviewed, who actually have we been in contact with, believe me I am not saying this in a sarcastic or condescending way, I would seriously like to know.

Quote
I have said it once and I will say it again, we will NOT conduct business in the media....we will NOT react to nonsense coming out of the media

Yet look at the post below this (your post) where the very same man is disgussing the merits of Alex McLiesh on twitter, his ability to do the job, what Villa fans should be excepting and what we shouldn't be excepting are taking on face value just because he's ex Nose, this one of the biggest sources of media out there, hot and cold springs to mind. I mean he's actually involved in a selling job for the man.

If it was his determination to not discuss any potential candidate he would say just that, in other words we don't discuss any future or potential candidate with the fans, thats not what he's doing here, thats assuming it his him.

Thats why O'Neill left, got sick of telling them players weren't allowed to use their hands.  Maradona link came up shortly after that on SSN as i recall.

Obviously it's true - it fits in with the ham-handed, amateurish way the club have dealt with this non-appointment so far. It's another indication of how we have a bunch of gullible, soft-hearted idiots at the top of our heirarchy that will drive the club to oblivion.

Now, what can I overreact about next?

If, IF, that is genuine then that is about as good as a conformation that we will be having McLeish as a manager next season.

The thought of the dull turgid football he will get us playing is depressing me as I write.
