Just checked everton forums , seems that rumours are sweeping merseyside that moyes has quit the club- such is the speculation I'd expect everton to have to make some comment soon- moyes now 11/10 fave with mcleish.

On the ones I've been on they are adamant it's rubbish and laughing it off.  Also, one Evertonian poster claims to be the Mysteryman on twitter saying he is winding us up for a laugh.

I've wanted Moyes from the start of all this, but after the shit we've been getting from the press the best thing about it would be watching them all backtrack and trying to justify their made up nonesense if we did pull it off!

MM,

You said the meltdown yesterday was either Moyes or McLeish - seeing as its not the latter according to you, does this mean its Moyes?!

Mcleish is available to lay at around 2/1 on betfair if anyone wants some free money courtesy of MM

Have voted for anybody but........But actually I am not really fussed . there are other candidates I would prefer, but I think he is a reasonable manager.

I agree he probably isn't as bad as some would make out.  However, his CV has three PL seasons on it and two of them ended in relegation.  OK, there was the cup win, but Mclaren did that aswell and in truth we need better than that if we're going to make any headway back into the top 6 and then have a tilt at top 4.

The Blues thing aside, he's a poor choice for the job.

I know I'm repeating myself. But this whole McLeish thing doesn't ring true.
We go about the Martinez business in the proper way. So why the hell should we go after McLeish without a by your leave.
RL & Co. are astute enough to know that if they tapped up MCleish there's no way Pannu would let it go without a fight.

Maybe they've realised the extreme futility of pursuing the Wigan type approach of recruitment?  I agree, it would be a major u-turn if they had tapped him up though

I think Moyes would be a perfect fit for us.
