Blues fans must be having their best afternoon since Arsenal fell apart. Double success, get rid of one Eck of a failure, then pass him on to us. Had we appointed Brolly man the shame would not have matched this, and I didnt want that prat either. FGS General, you are possibly appointing the fans worst nightmare and giving the swine a chance to throw mud as well.
Welcome to  Villa Park , new rest home for midfield thugs, useless defenders and forwards who wont score.

The general implied its not a case of the fans liking the new man , if randy chooses mcleish for christ sake back him and get behind aston villa- we are in this together and dont want to be percieved as a laughing stock by fans complaining.

remember derby fans protested when mackay followed clough and yet mackay won them the league.

please give alex mcleish a chance!

Please could the less savoury Noses start issuing death threats to McCleish if he goes anywhere near Villa Park and run him out of town.  If they do that, I'll concede that the city is theirs.  Well for 24 hours anyway.

If it isn't McLeish, and surely it won't be, then ANY manager is going to seem like appointing Alex Ferguson by comparison.  Change of heart on McClaren?  Welcome aboard you Dutch league conquering hero!

I just can't believe they'd be that utterly, utterly fucking stupid. Because if they thought this would be a good move on any front at all, that's what they'd be.

Surely not.

In the past week i've shit my pants about us getting McClaren, then Martinez, now this. I hope its just a false alarm again.

Otherwise i just cant see where Randy is coming from. His team playes tripe football, scraping to victories,on the rare occasions they did last season.

How many other managers can get their team relegated, then get a far better job. Likeothers have said, lets hope he's off to Wales.

 Moyes to Villa
 McLeish to Everton
 Hughes (with Hiddink) to Chelsea
 Whogivesafuck to Blues

 It's gotta be, right?

Waiting with baited breath for the 'insiders' on twatter

It's OK, the board know what they're doing, Pelty said so.  That being the case, McLeish won't be our new manager.

Actually we should NOT even be discussing this under this thread!

Just had a quick scan over the Marlon King articles......No McLeish quotes anywhere. Interesting.

Blues signing players and he quits by email.

I don't think we've made an approach, especially as blues told twattum last week they would rebuff any offers.

Have you gone absolutely mental?  McLeish would be a dismal appointment.  Lerner might as well get the "For Sale" signs up now if that's the limit of his ambition.  Which I'm sure isn't the case, he wouldn't be that stupid.

larf! villa fan on talksport claiming mcliesh is a winner. *checks dictionary definition*

Well he is good at winning relegation.

Well I remember a dark day not 4 months back when he won them lot their first meaningful trophy of my lifetime.  Besides that he has won a bucket load in Scotland, while spending less money than the messiah O'Neill.

I'm not saying he would be my first choice, in fact he wouldn't be in top 6 to be honest, but I wouldn't be as upset as most people on here.  Hopefully though, as he has "done a Hughes" this means we won't be impressed with him and will discount him.  He will then go to Everton and Moyes to us.

The bloke on Talksport by the way was Roger the cabbie, phones in to WM and BRMB a lot and is normally a voice of reason amongst all the bollox normally spouted by the likes of Ron Toss and "Rego".

Exciting if nothing else !!!
