Moyes will not leave Everton fro Villa. Rafa, Ancelotti, Martinez are out. Hughes has probably ruled himself out. We are left with: Coyle, McClaren, Rijkaard, Ranieri, Phil Brown, Grayson, Curbishley, McLeish. If these are indeed our options I would go with Curbishley or McClaren.

You can't be serious in wanting that grinning twat McClaren or that Mr Average Curbishley over a former Barcelona manager (for 5 years), who won 2 league titles and was runners up twice as well as the champions league (only Barcelona's second in their history at that point) and was the preceding manager of arguably the best club side the world has seen (Barca over the past 3 years)? As well as being a massive profile in the game, raising our profile. If it's true Rijkaard has asked, he should be very close to the top of our list if not at the top.

I would be amazed if Rijkaard is anywhere near the radar. Randy and co will be looking for English experience without a doubt. You can count anybody else out.
The Villa job will be fantastic for somebody and the likes of Moyes and co are total mugs for not seeing it. It is a shame as Dean Saunders always said 'Villa could be bigger than Liverpool if they only realised it...."

Everyone in Barcelona know Rijkaard was crap. The only reason he had success is his assistant Ten Kate and the quality players the squad had. They only had him because he is an iconic figure. And to prove that, when Ten Kate left, he lost his job. At Turkish giants Galatasaray he didn't do anything special and was sacked after a year. The only thing that Rijkaard will bring is some prestige to the club and huge transfer demands.

But that's opinion and speculation, the results speak for themselves. He had been at the club 3 years before they won the champions league, i would suggest it was his team. A club like Barcelona aren't going to carry a manager for 5 years. If it was true, we need to get Tate to come as well then. I would still slightly prefer Moyes because he's a premier league manager, but would be delighted with Rijkaard.

I've renewed 4 season tickets today and it has cost me £1770.

I only hope we get a good manager, back him well in the transfer window and he can sort out the tossers we have at the club including getting rid of the likes of Downing who think they are bigger than us.

We need a fresh team, mixing the very talented younger players with some honest experience.

Does Lee Sharpe still manage that football team - he's local, he's been a winner at Man U, he is young , and he was linked with us every year so maybe this is it - fits all the criteria as much as some mentioned on here.

Richard Keys and Andy Gray maybe - we might even get the widely overdue TV station then as well
