But I will be over the moon with moyes - and with Tim Howard, who would presumably follow

Holtepaul, can I thank you for the sheer entertainment you have provided on this thread.  Suicidal one minute, telling everyone to chill the next, and then simply brilliant bits of logic like the above.  How does your brain work?

There isnt a bigger job than Villa coming for Moyes. Not in this country.
I would be amazed if there was. And regardless of his self belief, I think he knows that.

He hasnt won anything and thats going to tick away at him. He needs more to play with.

Only job i could possibly see is the spurs job if Redknapp got the england gig and he wouldn't be a popular choice with the spurs fans. Top 4 or liverpool - no chance imo.

If we could talk to him then i reckon he'd come

Moyes - if it is true it is rumoured that it will cost us £7m in compensation to get Moyes, then to be honest I just cannot see that happening, because added to Houllier's leaving amount of £2.5m that would mean we would have virtually spent all the Ashley Young transfer money, on compensation.

Also Moyes would want a guarantee of a lot cash to spend in the transfer market, and not just this year, and with the club stating that they want to cut the wage bill etc... then i think we will look elsewhere for our new manager.

Personally I think we will now wait for Hughes.

Probably on a mix of gin, ketamine, Prozac and amphetamines...

I like your thinking.  He'd unite the fanbase and provide some much needed solidarity.

I can only repeat what I've said before. I've been told by people up there that Moyes is a lot happier with the situation at Goodison than common perception would have you believe.
I cant see any reason to believe that he would be unhappy, he is settled there, has a great relationship with the chairman, gets to run the football side of things without interference, is generally supported by the fans. He has to work to a budget but so do most managers. Everton seem like a club that are pretty united.

....and he is maybe bored stiff. We can hope.
