OMG. I can just see the faces of the counter clerks in the bookies tomorrow morning. When thousands of Villa fans invade trying to put money on Hope Powell!!

Forget Hope.

There's nothing left but Faith.

This guy? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatih_Terim

He can be happy at Everton yet covet something better though surely?

A lot better. It's O'Neill at Leicester again - turn down the slightly better jobs and imply they're not worthy of you.

I don't seeing him getting the big job that he was once touted for though.

I could see Moyes treading a similar path to O'Neill in the end actually.

Villa - I reckon Coyle will be next.

Everton are not Leicester. Where exactly do you think he thinks he's going to eventually upgrade to?

I don't know, but I would imagine that to be a successful manager you have to have a lot of self-belief.

A quick resume of where we are at this moment in time.
Martinez......not spoken to, and seems quite happy to stay where he can't be found wanting.
Moyes......apparently quite happy to stay in his undemanding comfort zone at Everton.
Coyle........Who knows? Nothing much in the media linking him to the job.
Hughes......If we believe what has been said on here and elsewhere. Why hasn't the club come forward and said something?
Ancellotti..... On a year long holiday.
McClaren......Enough said.

There isnt a bigger job than Villa coming for Moyes. Not in this country.
I would be amazed if there was. And regardless of his self belief, I think he knows that.

He hasnt won anything and thats going to tick away at him. He needs more to play with.

i'm pretty sure the club did say something on Hughes. Apart from Martinez he's the only one they've ruled out

i would think we sounded out Moyes pretty early on to be honest,
i mean it might be ongoing,
but we would have definitley wrote a letter, even if we sent it second class it would have got there by now
