Mm I think kendrick is covering his ass. I don't think he ment a lot by it just that he has back tracked about his roberto martinez interview. I don't like moyes but I'd take him any day of the week over roberto martinez.
I'm genuinely scared as to what's going to happen

I think a lot of people didn't want to believe it was Martinez, so we had all these rumours, when the only substantial information was that it was Martinez. Be interesting to see the angle the club take to spin his appointment as ambitious

Doesn't look like they'll have to.

That will be as impossible as me trying to fit in my old size 32 jeans. It sends out the wrong message, let's face it the dream is over for a few more years it was fun whilst it lasted. I'll take a birmingham city style league cup fluke. And the odd trip to europe if we have a good run. But don't expect him to achieve much else

How long is this gonig to drag on for? Fulham didn't piss about, and Chelsea seem to be getting on with their appointment of a manager in private. We're getting dragged about by speculation, it doesn't look good, or clever.

Yeah I was amazed when Tony Morley said on Sky that he thought we'd handled it superbly.

It clearly hasn't been.

i'm sorry but there is no way on earth that if we had offerd Martines the job he would turn us down, there has got to be some other reason why he wants that to come out,

maybe he hasnt been offered the job, only held prlim talks, knows that we are looking elsewhere and thinks, no, they dont really want me

but regardless of whether we like him or not, its a absolute no brainer to go from Wigan to Villa is the perfect step for him, and one i'm sure he would take if evrything was on a level playingfield,
all i'm sying is that if this 'turned down' rumour is true, its not as it looks, theres something else to it

Agree, this is typical Villa. Pity Steve Stride isn't still at Villa - I know Faulkner has a different role, but what is this guy about??

Maybe Houllier is assisting with the selection process with the prospect of GH moving upstairs?

My mate is friends with Shaun Teale and Wife...they say they know who it is but aren't allowed to say anything....arghhhhhhh

well shaun teale's earlier tweet suggests it is a good appointment.

Shaun nice bloke but on the wind up forget it

So it is martinez then isn't it? Of ffs I'm getting so little sleep I might have a fatal accident before its announced due to passing out. Are you confirming it is rm then mate

No I just think Shaun is on the wind up he doesn't know . I am not sure either tbh I really thought we were waiting on Everton to give us permission to speak to Moyes number 1 choice and that was the key to everything else and maybe we have been told no that was the one I was referring to as meltdown but didn't post it as I wasn't sure info was correct .
I maintain that Martinez is not the only or first option . Kendrick now saying moonwalking what the fuck does that mean either we are now considering previous ones we discounted ? Or Gary Mac and Kevin Mac double act ????

I like Martinez, but I like hearing more that he is not the only or first option.
Is premiership experience still a must have requirement or are the board looking at managers outside the sphere of what everyone has considered so far?

I wonder what Hughes is making of all this. He must have thought he was a cert for this job as I can't believe that spin from his agent that he's waiting for a big club to come in for him. Who exactly? Haven't seen such levels of delusional self worth since last summer.

or maybe the fact that clubs act quickly all the time and jump in fast to make themselves look good and take the presure of, is the very reason they so often get it wrong,
there is a massive turnover in managers every season, if a bit more thought and dillegence went into what is the most important decision of all, we might get it right a bit more often
