well shaun teale's earlier tweet suggests it is a good appointment.

If it is true and it's starting to get leaked, as it seems it is, then I assume they would announce it soon.
Who's odds are tumbling this morning. Maybe Randy is delaying announcing it whilst he gets enough bets placed to give us a decent tranfer kitty....

Oh for Pete's sake. I go to bed resigned to the fact that it was going to be Roberto's Claret and Blue Army and now people are tweeting about Moonwalking and all hell breaks loose again.

I'm not going to get much work done today.

The only question must be, will it appease holtepaul? That's the only litmus paper test I need.

Here's a thought.  Why not TWO appointments.  Young manager like Martinez and then an older experienced hand as a director of football / mentor.

Hey MysteryMan. What about Kendrick saying back tracking and moonwalking? Any idea what that's about?

So from that are we to summise that this godsmacking if true is all a wind up on Shaun's part. If so are we still sticking with Martinez as the media are telling us? Or do you not yet know what is happening?

No I just think Shaun is on the wind up he doesn't know . I am not sure either tbh I really thought we were waiting on Everton to give us permission to speak to Moyes number 1 choice and that was the key to everything else and maybe we have been told no that was the one I was referring to as meltdown but didn't post it as I wasn't sure info was correct .
I maintain that Martinez is not the only or first option . Kendrick now saying moonwalking what the fuck does that mean either we are now considering previous ones we discounted ? Or Gary Mac and Kevin Mac double act ????

Ver unimpressed with Sky this morning. The angle was that Villa are in turmoil with Ash leaving, possibly Downing, Big Brad gone etc. Then claiming that Martinez will make his decision by lunchtime.

I mean, bloody Hell. So - apparently- we interviewed him, offered him the job and now he is thinking about it and will let us know.... Bad reflection on the Villa all round.

It was like that with every radio station yesterday ..Everyone just making out we were living on our past and not a big club no more . And who did we think we were  , thinking we were better than appointing Mcclaren .  And they were still harping on about MON not getting the money ..     tossers , the lot of them.

I thought of that, it's the only reason I could think of that Martinez would even need to think about whether to come to us.
