Great turn arounds in football tend to come when the board appoints someone who the general public is, at best, indifferent about.

Thought just occurred to me that perhaps Wheelan has been crowing in the press so much because he is just waiting to announce that RM has turned us down to sign a new deal at Wigan.

Why choose to wait 9 days to say anything...I don't think they'd like to lose yet another manager to a premier league club without feeling a tiny bit bitter about it. Yet Wheelan seems quite happy about the situation.

I quite like Wheelan but I'm just trying to look at the psychology of it all. Because I have nothing better to do.

I see Kendrick is now saying Martinez is 'still in the balance.'

I'd like to that is because we have a better option lined up, but of course it could mean he doesn't want to come.

More like he hasn't got a bloody clue.

@MatKendrick backtracking..... what do you know!!!!!!!>!>!>!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Moonwalking = Michael Jackson = Fulham = Mark Hughes

Having read Mat Kendrick's tweets in the last hour he seems to know something, plus other stuff has pointed to something happening real soon.

I think this all points to Pep G or MON.  You heard it here first.

1. Hughes        great proven coach for the last years, ambitious and wants the same as we- win Man City
2. McClaren      wants to restore his rep, cannot afford to screw up, proven coach in past
3. Martinez       great potential, good scouting skills, low risk, can work with low budget
4. Rafa              tactical expert, high rep, experience- but very demanding in terms of transfer budget

Shaun Teale thinks we have a gobsmackingly good appointment lined up.

Which doesn't fit with the names circulating recently.

How reliable his info is, I'm not sure.
