SS breaking news.  His plane has been seen landing at Madrid?  Is there a manager there with premier league experience?

And Sky have been so on the money with everything so far... everything they say has to be taken with a whole spoonful of salt.

This thread stood at 220 pages when I called it a day last night.  I've tried to avoid getting involved but the thoughts of Roberto Martinez, nice man that he seems fills me with fear.  I have been watching Villa for over 50 years and this (dis)appointment ranks up there with some of the other beauts we've had in that time.  It's a bit like asking for a Bang and Olufson Hi Fi for Christmas and getting a fucking Amstrad!  But then again what do I know? At the time I didn't want Ron Saunders!  Hasitly runs for cover.

I lived in a house until last month that had a Bang & Olufsen stereo wired throughout, and I can tell you for certain that It's overpriced and overated.

I'd also compare Martinez more to a set of Denon seperates, with gold interconnects.

Not to piss on anyone's chips, but remember that Martinez is Spanish too.

If he's gone to Madrid to speak to a bloke that lives in Wigan, then he needs to find a new travel agent aswell as football manager.

I think I've come through some portal into a retarded dimension by mistake. Can somebody show me the way back to my universe please.

2nd worm hole on the left.  If you get to the reality where Jordan Henderson is worth £20m you've gone too far.

Made me chuckle.

I'd put down Martinez as a 10 watt Alba stereo, where the knobs fall off after about 4 weeks.

Contact was made with Benitez yesterday. Contact. Something like a phone call? Remind me again which Spanish manager is from Madrid?

He's on holiday though. But if he's gone "home" to Catalonia its a long way from Madrid. He'd have landed in Barcelona instead.

Flores maybe?

I think someone made it up in reference to him landing in Madrid and Mourinho.

A tape-chewer as well.

Very harsh.

You do realise Doug will see that as a demand for his return as chairman/manager/honorary father of all the players?
