The internet can be brilliant but it can also be bloody frustrating.

I don't know what we are going to do when this is all sorted.
The trepidation and build up to something happening (whoever it ends up being) is bloody brilliant!!!!!!!

Nobody has a clue do they, Randy is keeping things tight and as such the speculation will continue to grow and grow because Sky have hours to fill and the papers need to fill their pages, the best thing to do is sit back and enjoy the ride!!

Correct, nobody knows except the powers that be and I think that is a great thing.
Sorry guys, messed up on that one!
My point is: everyone interested in the game is looking at AV right now!
In a good, exciting way.

No money???

Rafa " Mr Lerner if I come will you allow me to spend an obscene amount of money on a lot of very average foreigners with big wages?"

Randy " No i m afraid not.. we ve had a manager that spends lots on average players and did nt even play them"

Rafa " I m not coming here then you have no money!"

Rafa to agent " Tell the press i turned them down as they have no money!!"

holtepaul , what if ancelotti had changed his mind and wanted to talk when he returns from his holiday?

Then we'd talk, but we certainly wouldnt tell our 2nd choice guy "Sorry, we did want you, but womeone better has come along now - so we don't" - before something is signed sealed and delivered with our target. What about if we met (lets just say it is) Ancelotti and he said "Yeah, I've changed my mind, I will be manager, but I want 10m a year for the privelage".

Its called "keeping your options open".

I believe MM - but naargh, dont believe interviews were cancelled. And if they were, then Villa / and our management are clueless (which they obviously arent)

id like to know what the reason is hughes is not being considered? surely if you were going to interview mclaten then hughes is at the very least  his equal.

I really have even less of a clue who I think we'll get now. I never thought we'd get moyes but I'm starting to through sheer process of elimination! Surely we wouldn't be after Martinez?

I'm in a daze!

I would think Hughes is(was?) being considered. It's the clause thing he has that's the problem. I believe he can't enter into negotiations with another employer til June is over. Whoever she is!?

Don't know why but i've got a sneaky feeling its Van Gaal.
My dream appointment from day 1!

I would walk on hot coals  for  van Gaal... and it will send a message.

Mainly a post for MM but for everyone really.

Is this "person" that we want actually committed to us do you think.

I ask because, if you owned a company and you had a position available, and you contacted someone about maybe taking it. If the reply was "Yeah, I'll speak to you, but I'm going on holiday first, I'll talk to you when I get back"

Would you think highly of them ? - surely if someone wanted the job (especially when you are a multi millionaire and can get first class flights there and back without batting an eyelid (or hasn't Lerner got a private jet ?) they would interupt their holiday for it.

Keep thinking along the same lines as your first point eastie...and perhaps it's been lined up for some time through PF and now RL's here the business bits can be finalised.
Who it is is another matter.....not got the foggiest mate, just a favourite or two.
