BREAKING NEWS  - VILLA BOARD TO MEET AT THE ZOO.  MONKEY HAS ODDS SLASHED WITH SKY BET TO 1-9

As long as it's the one from the TV series that flew around on a cloud.

With apologies, but I just cant see why we would "cancel an interview" - this , I believe is just made up clap trap from a guy on here that Dave.Woodhall caught out.

Lets look at it logically - if that was the case - our shortlist was

Ancelotti , Benitez and McLaren.

Ancelotti apparently said no , we then set up interviews with RB and SM and cancelled them because another target is on the radar and we have to wait until he is back from hols.

Why on earth would you cancel the interviews - it makes no sense. You would interview the two, and then not make the decision until the 3rd has been interviewed.

If No.1 either says no, after the interview we say no , or something else comes up, Man U stating Fergie is in fact leaving and our target suddenly fancies that.

We would have knocked back our 1st 2nd and 3rd choices.

Sorry, its clap trap ! (not MM - the cancelled interview bit)

Sky are not a credible source for many reasons with the cynic in me thinking they have more than a vested interest in odds shortening and lengthening through sky bet.

Nobody has a clue do they, Randy is keeping things tight and as such the speculation will continue to grow and grow because Sky have hours to fill and the papers need to fill their pages, the best thing to do is sit back and enjoy the ride!!

I'm just going on what i was told, there were preliminary discussions, a meeting was arranged, villa decided not to pursue. I'm not making it up just telling what i was told from a reliable source in the industry.

Absolutley! And I love it that everybody who is interested in the game is fascinated by what's happening at our club! And they say we're not big!!??

Correct, nobody knows except the powers that be and I think that is a great thing.
