Sky "sources" understand Rafa will not be our gaffer. What the heeell is going on.

is Sky sources ruling him in any different to Sky sources ruling him out?

The club haven't ruled anyone out. Just Sky saying Rafa and twitter saying McClaren. Still could be either realistically.

Just reading the BBC's McClaren story. Makes Villa fans sound like a bunch of wankers.

No it does not.

I wasted a fiver on Walter Smith last time round, I might be tempted again to make sure it doesn't happen.

Its almost funny. were running out of managers by the minute. the worst part is we are losing my favourite choices as fast as the ones i dont want. we will be left with curbishly soon.......

Just a leftfield name to throw in now Rafa's out, how about Bern Schuster?  Did pretty well at Getafe if i remember and likes an attacking style of play.

Seem to recall he did okay at Madrid didn't he? There's Michael Laudrup as well who is pretty highly rated.

This is really mad at the moment. At least with Houllier there were 3-4 candidates widely known to be interviewed and then Ged got the gig. This time, it seems very, very open, and no one knows a thing.

Mysteryman, I really hope you are right re it being a big name still.
