for a meltdown as described i can think of 3 names,

ancelotti, moyes or mon- either would send us into a frenzy.

Ancelotti is the only manager I can realistically see as possible that would cause universal delight. Unless it is the young guy from Porto?

it would cost lerner around 13 mil to get him from porto
Worth every penny for his name alone! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Villas-Boas

I am pleased it is not Schteve.  After Monday I want it to be Drogo, the man is a beast an no one would dare mess with him.

Evening everyone 1st time caller, long time listener here. The summer speculation is here and dont you just love it. Yeah baby yeah.

Back on topic and Rafa's good with me. Cant see why people would be so disapointed with him apart from the fact that its another ex-Liverpool manager and he tried to sign Barry from us 2 years ago. So what? All that matter's in the end is what he could do for us. He seems like a very intelligent man when it comes to football and would have a good amount of contacts overseas when it comes to signings. Yeah he might seem on the wane but were not gonna attract a Rafa Benitez in his prime are we? Were also led to believe that he DOES believe in the youth system and bringing them through which has to be major point in finding a new manager. The ONLY hang-up I would have is how long would Rafa stick around for?

Only no-no's for me are Mcleish and MacLaren. And thankfully neither of them are ever likely to happen. So let's get behind whoever is appointed!

if MM is being told the truth by his sorce then it has to be  carlo,

people mention moyes and say him, im sorry but i wouldnt want moyes over rafa or carlo i cant see past those to

why does it have to be Carlo exactly? the other day it was said he was having a year off.....

because any villa fan knows mm dont bullshit if heis speaking in terms of a meltdown it has to be huge. bigger than rafa
as for the year off thing players lie all the timethrought the agents to get a better deal zigic's agent lie to blues sayingthe man city and villa were after him, knowing the desperation of the blues to get 1 over on us they offered more money to make sure they got him, carlo coujld be doing exactly the same

redman how would the blue side of town feel if moyes leaves for villa?
Suicidal I would have thought.

It's about time that lot were back on the managerial merry-go-round. They've been too comfortable for too long. ;D

Just one thought, wouldn't Steve Bruce cause the same kind of reaction?

As would Alex McLeish.

Rafa is 33 on there. Van Gaal 36 at the time (2007) and only Hitzveld above them of note that may be obtainable.

He's too busy buying all of Man U's shittiest players.
