Oh Feck-not FSW please! He is mad as a hatter. We need a good communicator with a stable temperament.

in all fairness to Benitez (and I assure you I say that reservedly), he went mental at about the same as the backroom bollocks was happening at Liverpool. You can't take away what he's won over the course of his career, and while he's liable to fall off the deep end, he's got a nastiness about him that I want to see in a Villa manager.

I thought he would end up at Real Madrid once

I heard that football is his life. Guillem Balague was saying that he has no other interests apart from football, maybe a bit like GH. While i dont really like his charachter, his knowledge would be second to none, and if a year ago he was number one choice for the European Champions, then he should do for us.

As mentioned on here by others, his paranoid meltdown went hand in hand with the trouble with the owners. I heard a few weeks ago on the guardian podcast, that he was touting himself for the Villa managers job at the league managers do. The only sticking point could be funds for players, though im sure Randy will give whoever comes in  a few quid, and there's a few players who coul be sold to generate more dough.

May have to sit in a darkened room till its finalised.

I d
I think the longer it goes on the more likely it looks like it'll be Hughes.

It will not be Hughes if it is hell has frozen over

Of the names mentioned in the poll MM, how many are genuinely in the running?
on't

I don't want to build peoples hopes up I really don't and I don't want to mislead people my earlier post is what I know Hughes not considered McClaren considered but that was it Ancelotti definately considered and wanted to speak to him . I don't know anymore than that but something just tells me there is a ' Bent meltdown ' coming . Don't know why but just a snippet of info which I am not going to post leads me to think that not everything we are hearing and sseing is maybe what we are doing  because if it is right it will take it's natural course and I don't want to mess it up either .

It's Bryan Robson isn't it?

If it really is going to be a massive surprise, and a good one at that, then surely it must be Hiddink. Or Brian Blessed.

Aloysius Paulus Maria Van Gaal has a reputation for falling out with players, fans and media. On the other hand he has also won the league with every team he has managed at least once. You could argue that is to be expected at Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, so he did it with AZ Alkmaar too just to show off.
