Surely Randy isn't daft enough to appoint another ex-redscouse manager who will always be wishing he was still managing them and regard us as just a fucking job and nothing more than a way back into the game?! Please god NO!

I d
I think the longer it goes on the more likely it looks like it'll be Hughes.

It will not be Hughes if it is hell has frozen over

Of the names mentioned in the poll MM, how many are genuinely in the running?
on't

I don't want to build peoples hopes up I really don't and I don't want to mislead people my earlier post is what I know Hughes not considered McClaren considered but that was it Ancelotti definately considered and wanted to speak to him . I don't know anymore than that but something just tells me there is a ' Bent meltdown ' coming . Don't know why but just a snippet of info which I am not going to post leads me to think that not everything we are hearing and sseing is maybe what we are doing  because if it is right it will take it's natural course and I don't want to mess it up either .

Blimey MM. This place and VT will disintegrate, let alone melt down if the manager has that kind of impact.

People actually follow Tom Ross on Facebook/Twitter as if he's some footballing oracle?

Jesus wept, if he told me it was sunny out I'd take an umbrella.

The Mcclaren thing could be huge mix-up on Pat Murphy's part. Villa were interested in pop svengali and ex-manager of the sex pistols, Malcolm McClaren. Obviously they cancelled the meeting when they found out he was dead.
There seems to be a certain sense of irony creeping into your posts GN. Thanks for distracting me and reminding me not to get further involved in this discussion.

Get the impression nothing is cut and dried just yet.

Surely making 'contact' with Benitez infers he is only a potential interviewee and therefore, by definition, we have other candidates also in mind?

I get the impression that being as Villa are tighter than a nun's c###, the media a clutching at every straw they can get their hands on in order to write a few column inches. If some "source" dropped a bollocks hint that Guardiola was packing his bags to head over to B6, it would be newsworthy for a day or two.

Oh lordy, you've got me interested now MM.
I'm more than happy with Benitez but if its somebody really top level... great.

Has Ancelotti changed his mind I wonder? van Gaal? That good?
