It's interesting that Pat Murphy thinks we have blackened the name of McClaren. I don't know about anyone else on here but I'm pretty sure it wasn't me who was behind the story of him shagging his secratary at Boro when they were both married, it wasn't me who dubbed him 'wally with a brolly' and practically drove him out of England and it wasn't me behind the interview in Dutchlish. All i did was say i didn't want him as our manager. Pat doesn't really get the idea of messageboards obviously.

Pat Murphy just on Radio 5 reporting that McClaren's meeting with Randy, scheduled for tomorrow, has been cancelled.

And he's blamed ill-informed fans on messageboards for blackening the name of "a sound manager".

Usual anti-Villa undertones from MON's representative on the BBC.

How's about he looks at his colleagues in the media first and their "Wally With The Brolly" sobriquet?  It's the media who are to blame for blackening the name of said manager, Pat.

Tom Ross is wrong, often.

However, why would all local media be saying that they don't think it is Rafa

If the club take notice of the codswallop spouted on here by all and sundry (myself included) they want their heads testing.

The ninny's persona is entirely of his own making anyway.

Strikes me the club have made their decision and barring a signature, we have a new manager. However, could be McClaren and they've moved his meeting forward!

Even Tom Ross isn't go to go public with something like that, without knowing something.

So if it's not Benitez or McClaren or Hughes...who the hell could it be?

Tom Ross will have a source, but it will be Robbie Savage or someone with equally zero knowledge. The man told every man and his dog we were signing Michael Owen
