I think Moyes to Spurs makes sense. I know this idea that they don't go for people like Moyes has been floated, but he and they are the ideal fit if you look at it without the Villa job in mind.

Come on Randy, get Rafa in!

The poll still worth a look. CA way out there and 20% want Moyes. The rest nowhere really.
If CA is having his year out and Moyes definitely not interested it suggests we ain't gonna be happy with anybody!

Hi all,

Liverpool supporter here in peace.

I don't know if Rafa is the right man for you or not. But I hope he is. He's a brilliant tactician and they don't come along every day. Get him while you can, I say.

i'd happily take rafa! carlo was simply first choice, id bet a fair percentage of those voting for carlo would now change to rafa in light of carlo's apparent year off

the more I think about FSW the more I think about all those european games I had to endure on tv whilst he was with the red scouse. He is good at setting up his teams to outplay or outwit an opposition team that is superior. e.g. Barcelona away with no-neck celebrating his goal as if he was taking another swing with his driver at riise's head, the return leg when they nullified Ronaldhino and the semi final games against Chelsea.

We may be getting a very astute tactician if we get him and that puts him a world away from the quitter (who should never be allowed to return IMO).

I would be quite excited about Benitez coming here and have been since day one. He's got "big club" experience, PL experience, has won big trophies, always seemed to be tactically pretty astute when I saw his teams play. Yes he has made some dodgy signings in his time but who hasn't? At least he has a radar outside the Prem when signing players.

And if he has the odd meltdown and is rattled by Fergie (who is the master windup merchant anyway) then so be it, at least he shows passion and desire.

Managers that have won big trophies are not to be sniffed at and are few and far between. He'll come here with the intent to win things, not just get in the top 6.

I should be his agent..cracking CV that was ;-)

I agree, frankly I'd prefer Benitez over Ancellotti (although Moyes is my first choice).

I think the biggest reason to take Benitez over CA is that Bene seems much more ambitious at the point.  I feel like he has a point to prove.  He wants to stick it to Liverpool's front office, and he wants to prove people wrong, and from reports I've heard ... it sounds like he wants to come here.  Ancellotti I get the feeling would be managing for just a paycheck if he were to sign with us ... he seems quite content with just sitting out a few months.

I've not been kicked off, I just stuck my head around the door here and saw what seems like higher quality debate. No offence to VT or anything. ;D

I hope I'm welcome - if not, let me know.

Oh good, new posters signing up just to carry on feuds from other websites.

How about leaving your petty vendettas there?
